Gail Ann (our local postmaster here in Townshend) rang us this morning to say we had a bunch of tiny ducklings waiting not-so-patiently in a not-so-comfortable box for a ride to their new home. That’s right, Big Picture Farm has now added to its cast: ducks! Tiny teeny ducks. And not just any tiny teeny ducks. Silver Appleyard and Saxony-flavored tiny teeny ducks. I had to put down a deposit on them in the spring of 2011 if you can believe it I cannot. Though we look forward to raising them for eggs and meat!, chances are they’ll end up distracting coyote and fox from baby goat.
Now I am going to distract myself from baby everything.
